Join us for our first Soirée Crêpes, to be held in a beautiful award-winning garden in Toowoomba! It will be followed by our Annual General Meeting on Sunday 4 March.
The AGM is a great time to meet, catch up, and provide feedback to the Committee on what you would like to see the Alliance do for its members this year, while enjoying delicious crêpes! We'd love for you to attend this event in order to give the Alliance Française a chance to exist in Toowoomba. As a not-for-profit organisation run by members for the benefit of members, we count on your commitment to help us represent and promote the French language and culture in town.
You are invited to our first social event for 2018 - the Galette des rois. We hope to see you on Sunday the 18th at Laurel Bank Park when someone will be crowned King or Queen!
We have officially opened our enrolments for 2018 classes.

Things to Come (2016) Dir. Mia Hansen-Løve
Nathalie (2017 Golden Globe-winner Isabelle Huppert) teaches philosophy at a college in Paris. She’s passionate about her work and particularly enjoys passing on the pleasure of thinking to the next generation. Married with two grownup children, she devotes her spare time to the books she publishes as a sideline, to former students who have become friends and, above all, to her very possessive mother (the great Édith Scob). But one day, Nathalie’s husband Heinz (André Marcon) announces he is leaving her for another woman, the first of a series of events that will upend Nathalie’s world, and leave her to completely reassess her future…
Though Nathalie’s plight is familiar in real life, it is rarely thoughtfully depicted on screen, and this is a role tailor-made for the always compelling Huppert. Revolving around questions of happiness, of having a vocation and the value – or folly – of established ways of living, THINGS TO COME depicts not only one individual’s search for new avenues, it also gets to the heart of what constitutes a successful life.
